Edward J. Vrdolyak Edward J. Vrdolyak joined his father and brothers in the practice of law after he received his Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in 1998.  Prior to law school, Eddie completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame.

Today Eddie concentrates in the area of civil litigation.  As a seasoned trial attorney, Eddie now heads the litigation team at our firm’s 9618 S. Commercial office in South Chicago.  Many of Eddie’s successful outcomes have been published by The Illinois Jury Verdict Reporter and the Illinois Settlement Reporter, some of which are as follows:

• $2.62 million, after defendant’s insurance company offered $125,000, for a woman that sustained a facial scar in an automobile accident. Jury trial November 2007 (Co-Lead Counsel)

• $2.5 million, after defendant’s insurance company offered $500,000, for the family of an 18-month-old child struck and killed by a delivery van. Jury trial July 2005 (Co-Lead Counsel) (Largest verdict in Illinois for death of a child under the age of 4)

• $2.25 million for the family of a 16 year old girl who died as a result of an automobile accident. Settled July 2008 (co-lead counsel)

• $1.5 million for a Chicago Police Officer that returned to full duty after sustaining a back injury requiring surgery as a result of an auto accident. Settled September 2004 on eve of trial (Co-Lead Counsel)

• $1.1 million for a 52 year old woman who suffered a ruptured kidney, fractured ankle, and emotional distress as a result of an automobile accident. Settled January 2008 (co-lead counsel)

• $900,000 for the family of an 80 year old woman that was being transported in an ambulance due to difficulty breathing, when it was struck by another vehicle causing woman’s death three days later. Settled October 2005 (Lead Counsel)

• $600,000.00 for a 51 year old man stopped at a red light when he was struck from behind resulting in $397.23 estimated damage to his vehicle. Plaintiff aggravated neck and knee injuries originally sustained and operated on as a result of a prior motor vehicle accident. Aggravations from this accident resulted in additional surgeries. Settled February 2009 (co-lead counsel)

• $520,000 for a 58-year-old custodian with under $20,000 in medical bills from a herniated disk as a result of an automobile accident. Settled March 2004 (Co-Lead Counsel)

• $505,000 for a 75-year-old woman bit by a spider at an Off-Track betting parlor. Jury trial September 2003 (Co-Lead Counsel) (Largest recovery in Illinois for insect bite)

• $242,481 for a 73 year old man that tore his rotator cuff when he slipped and fell in a department store. Jury trial July 2001 (Co-Lead Counsel)

• $176,000 for a 63-year-old woman that suffered a fractured arm after she struck the rear of another vehicle, which she claimed, cut her off. Jury trial October 2000 (Lead Counsel)
